HCommunity began as a proof-of-concept project known as the Smart Region initiative. This initial effort focused on collaborating with hospitality actors in a specific region to explore the potential of data sharing and collaboration. With invaluable support from the Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne and Région de Nyon, we gained critical insights into the needs and challenges of the industry.
These early conversations and experiences laid the foundation for what HCommunity is today—a global, independent initiative built to empower the hospitality industry through fairness, transparency, and collective intelligence.
